Simple Fly Fishing

Tenkara Fly Fishing is a 400+ year old style of fly fishing from Japan. Tenkara Dzuri means “fishing from the empty sky,” but we simply refer to it as tenkara.

Tenkara is a simple method of fly fishing that uses a specialized rod, line, and fly. No reel. It is inexpensive, it can be learned and practiced by people of all ages and ability levels, and it is a skill that can be cultivated over one’s lifetime.

At CMA Fly Fishing we are proud to exclusively use Tenkara USA rods. If you have an interest in purchasing your own Tenkara fishing pole or updating your collection, check out Tenkara USA and don’t hesitate to reach out for recommendations.
